(Zakat, Sadaqah, Lillah etc all accepted)
This is all in dedication to our beloved brother Adel (rh) who passed away on the 8th Feb 2013 and to all the Muslim Brothers and Sisters in the UK and abroad who have passed away. A Sadaqa Jaariyah for everyone. May Allah bless their soul and enable this to be a means of ease and tranqulity for them.
Alhamdulillah we raise constantly money for charitable causes and have helped Muslims across the world via different charities including Muslim Aid, Islamic Relief, Orphans in Need, Rahma Mercy, Interpal, Al-Imdad Foundation and Others.
Al Buruj Press UK Women Centre Projects
Imagine contributing to help create the future female scholars and thinkers in the UK? This is all about bettering our future society in the UK, Read On…..
“Al Buruj Press aims to be a centre of excellence in the study of Islam and an institute of acquiring traditional knowledge. Through this it seeks to transform individuals into future students of knowledge in order to better educate society on the roles and teachings of Islam.”
Over the past 3 years the organisation has expanded rapidly from hosting world renowned scholars to the 100,000+ who have attended our courses/seminars. We wish to cement this growth by building a centre of excellence in the traditional study of Islam in the UK so this demand by our members can be stabilized.
We have raised thousands of pounds for international causes and now we wish to focus on the first ever national UK project ran by a Muslim Charity. Over the next 3 years we plan to raise in the region of £2 Million into a Waqf fund (What is Waqf: http://www.islam-qa.com/en/13720) to finance this centre, we hope to start with opening a centre in the North of England based on feedback we will arrange for another centre in London. We hope to have atleast 1 of the centres fully functioning by late 2017
The centre will be actively promoting the needs of sisters providing a platform for them to learn and develop their faith which is commonly being ignored by a large proportion of the Muslim community. It will also be used as a base for promoting unity our principles have always lead us to working with scholars, Muslims and organisations from various backgrounds and we hope to instil this mentality in our centre. Once this centre is established we hope to use the inhouse businesses (gym and cafe) to regenerate money which will hopefully go back into running the centre.
We hope to include:
· An independently owned building with prayer and educational space
· Non demonization, non sectarian – open to all
· Hosting a range seminars, workshops and courses
· Classes – Islam, Health, Secular, Sex, Mental Health, Arts etc
· Specialised learning to cater for female needs
· Specialized IT Cluster Room
· Dormitory for travellers
· In house Muslim counsellor/chaplain – welfare and sharia advice
· Drop in sessions to cater for Muslim health care
· A female only gym and sauna facilities
· A mini lecture hall and separate classrooms
· A independently ran halal cafe to run during the day
· A sports hall for activities football, badminton, self defence etc
