Story
Running the London Marathon has been 6 years in the making, in the sense that every year I enter the ballot in the hope to get a place but receive an email advising I have been unsuccessful. Admittedly, there is sense of relief each time, however, this year regardless of the outcome I was determined to run. So, call it a mid-life crisis or a tick on the bucket list I am in the thick of training and excited to be taking part in the London Marathon 2022 on Sunday 2nd October!
I will be running 26.2 miles/42km in support of the charity United Response. This charity is committed to making life better for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. They support adults and young people with disabilities to live the life they choose in a number of different of ways – including helping with day to day living, finding a house or a job, education and taking part in activities in the local community.
I think you will agree that one thing Covid has taught us is the importance of community and looking out for one another. I am thrilled to be running for United Response and hope you share my enthusiasm in supporting such a great cause. Any donation will be greatly appreciated, and it will make a huge difference to United Response.
Thank you so much for your
support,
Ajay
