WMAMP RAMADHAN CHALLENGE · 23 April 2020

As-Suffa is committed to serving the immediate and wider community through the application of traditional Islamic knowledge to contemporary society and serving others to benefit humanity. "The best of people are those who benefit mankind" - Hadith

Story

West Midlands Association of Muslim Police are inviting colleagues to take part in the Ramadhan challenge.

Participants are asked to fast for 1 or 2 days during Ramadhan and in return contribute £5 towards charity. (the money they would ordinarily spend on lunch)

We have nominated As-Suffa as the recipients for these donations.

As-Suffa have been working to support the less fortunate (homeless, food banks, soup kitchens, domestic abuse etc) since 2012. During the pandemic they have really stepped up and are working tirelessly to support the elderly, vulnerable, NHS and families who are struggling for food and finances,

Taking part in this initiative is a great opportunity to not only experience what Muslim colleagues are feeling but also recognise the impact lack of sustenance has on those who do not have it readily available to them.
