Here I am again! 

Only a few days to go until my 8th GNR and seven years since we lost our lovely Rita. It seems like just a moment ago since she waved me off on my first race, we all continue to miss her so much, but I know she'd be happy that we are all OK! 

I'm not quite sure how much my friends and family have raised for Stroke Association in the past 7 years by supporting me in the GNR - I'd guess it must be in the region of £5k. For me it's not so much the amount we raise that's important (although Stroke Association are always very appreciative). It's the gesture you make by donating and the lovely messages I receive about Mum and also to cheer me on that mean so much to me.

Here's hoping that we have another lovely day and that Mo Farrah brings us luck as he's going to be the pace maker this year! Ha! Ha!
