LONDON TO PARIS- 24 HOURS!!!! 

When you read the above- London to Paris in 24 hours it all seems quite achievable; that is until you realise it is to be done on a bicycle and the person on the bicycle is me!!!

Some may think I'm crazy taking on such a challenge, others may think i'm brave but perhaps i might encourage a small amount of you to do something challenging and exciting in the future!!

London to Paris 24 is the ultimate endurance cycle challenge.  The concept is simple- i need to cycle 280 miles by bike from London to Paris in under 24 hours.  Its not a race (which i do have to keep telling myself- my competitive nature will want me to reach the eiffel tower first) rather an extreme sportive with riders setting off at midday from London, pedalling through the day and into the night attempting to reach Paris before lunchtime the following day. For those who are wondering we do get the ferry from Dover to Calais!!!

Training for this cycle involves a lot of commitment.  Early mornings and late nights on the turbo trainer and long cycles at the weekend.  As the nights become lighter and the weather becomes warmer hopefully i will be able to get out more on the roads and perhaps adapt to wearing cycling shoes.....
