In the midst of laughing out loud during the amazing Human Appeal comedy show last December, it became apparent that there was more to the reason why we were there then just an evening out with friends for laughs and smiles.

Having seen the work that Human Appeal carry out to help those less fortunate than us, it only felt right to do what I could to help others, albeit a small token towards a grand cause. So, I decided to make a pledge for £500 and promised myself that I would raise the funds over the next year to help those in need.

If you know me, you'll know that I'm not a great runner, in fact, I can barely run (or walk) to save my life! However, something inspired me to go out of my comfort zone, to do something that would not only make a difference to my life but to the life of others.

So, I've signed up to the Leicester half marathon due in October 2017 (*gulp!*). It's going to be a tough few months of training, but I am hoping that I will be able to achieve my end goal and most importantly raise money for a worthy cause.

I would therefore like to humbly request that you please help me raise money for those who are less fortunate than us. No amount is too small, every penny counts so please give what you can afford!
