Story
Hi everyone, welcome to my fundraising page :)
I'm a first year university student at LSE studying Mathematics and Economics and this year I decided to take up the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Hope for Children.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world, with its peak at 5,895m above sea level. My climb is to support the invaluable work of Hope for Children, an international charity that passionately believes every child has the right to a happy, healthy and positive childhood.
This charity aims to improve children childhood's by focusing on:
1)Raising awareness of Children's rights.
2)Enabling children to access education and healthcare.
3)Empowering families to support themselves.
Over the last 3 years alone, donations to Hope for Children have helped over 128,000 children and their families across Africa, Asia and the UK gain access to healthcare, education and jobs.
With 1 billion children continuing to face extreme poverty, disadvantage, abuse and exploitation, the amazing work of Hope for Children has just touched the tip of the iceberg. Childhood is important. It sets the foundations for life. We should ensure that every child is given the opportunities they need to experience a positive childhood.
Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference.
Thank you all for your support!
