The National Three Peaks Challenge , 16 August 2014

Story

On the 16th of August a team from AECOM's Birmingham office will begin the National 3 Peaks Challenge, which will see us attempt to run, walk, stumble and crawl up the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24hrs. During the the challenge we'll cover 25 miles and climb 10,000ft, walking day and night.

We are planning to raise money for the 'Midlands Air Ambulance' charity. So you are probably wondering why we have chosen this particular charity?

The midlands air ambulance works tirelessly day and night responding to over 40,000 call outs per year, without any government or lottery funding. This charity doesn't get the recognition it deserves in terms of national awareness, so It relies heavily on donations and the hard work of its passionate volunteers.

Furthermore they take part in their own annual Three Peaks Challenge, so what better charity for us to sponsor whilst taking part in the challenge as well.

Please help us try and keep this charity saving lives because without donations 40,000 calls would go unanswered...

The Team:

Alex McKeown, Jonny Browning, Conna Ryan, Benn Schofield, Andy Parker, Jorge Sanchez, Joe Ghinai, Sam Ghinai and Tom McNamara.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank anyone that donates, remember it can be as little or as much as you like. Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving.
