A diagnosis of breast cancer creates such fear for so many - family, friends and of course those with the disease itself. The hard work and support of charities such as Future Dreams helps all those affected both during treatment and beyond - and provides hope that a cure can be found.
I am so proud that my lovely family and I are running together to support Future Dreams - a charity introduced to me by my friend and my surgeon, Jo Franks, a trustee of the charity.
Future Dreams is raising funds to support women through their breast cancer journey.FD works on a number of campaigns to create awareness and fund research projects, with a main focus on secondary breast cancer.Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in theUK every year, the equivalent of one person every 10 minutesaccording to Breast Cancer Care. To date Future Dreams hasraised over £5m pledging funds towards the charitiesthree aims - support, awareness and research, focusingon secondary breast cancer.
