This is the 3rd year I am riding to Ypres in Belgium as part of my Chairman's Challenge in aid of the Hope Centre to help those at the margins of our society who suffer severe and multiple disadvantage - learning difficulties, mental health problems, substance abuse issues and falling foul of the criminal justice system. This is more often than not as a result of childhood trauma or worse, abuse - physical or sexual. Outrageous - a sad mirror on our modern and so called advanced society.

Thus many of our clients have never had a chance in life. Others have fallen on hard times as an adult. The Hope Centre is there to help and support, give shelter, warmth, clothing and food as a first step to rebuilding lives towards independent living and employment.
