Story
I enjoy cycling and have only, in the last 18 months, started to put in the miles! It's great way to exercise and see some beautiful parts of our countryside. It's also a great way to challenge myself, and I've been involved with a few charity events as a result! The challenges that families are faced with when they receive news that a child has cancer hardly bares thinking about. But it happens more often than you may imagine and that's why I'm raising money to help CLIC Sargent and the amazing work they do to support families in this situation.
Today, 11 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide. They will provide a specialist package of support tailored to each young cancer patient and family.
CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. This is done this individually, locally and nationally, so that they can focus on the important things, like getting well. And if the worst happens, CLIC Sargent will work with bereaved families to get them support, to help them cope with their emotional pain.
