Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page
Our dear friends nephew, Henry, contracted Ecoli and a disease called Hus on 5th October 2013. The disease attacks the kidneys, stomach and brain. Henry was admitted to Bristol Children's Hospital on 11th October 2013 and was in a coma for 6 weeks. After 8 months in BCH he has been transferred to The Children's Trust Neuro Rehab Centre where his rehab will help prepare Henry and his family for his return home.
Henry is 3 years old.
His Mum and Dad, Tanya and Phil have shown such amazing strength at times of great uncertainties. Whilst still caring for Henry's younger brother Oliver.
Phil and a team of friends have committed to raising as much as possible to give back to The Children's Trust in recognition of the support the charity has given his family.
We want to support him in his goal, so a number of us have signed up to take part in the Dawlish Sprint Triathlon on September 28th 2014 ( aaaahhhhhh !!!!!!)
We have formed a relay team
Lizzie Davey 750m sea swim ( obviously the hardest)
Martin Willis 21k bike ride ( oohh, sore bits)
Adrian Davey 5k run ( easy as ....!! )
Participating in an event like this is incredible, in regard to the challenge of the event and connection to the worthy cause. Usually such tragic circumstances happen to others, not families we know.
Henry's Uncle and Aunt have been most generous in their time, love and support helping me raise money for my personal charity. Please help our team give something back to their personal charity who have supported their family during such a difficult time.
The Children's Trust( The Children's Trust is the UK's leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, multiple disabilities and complex health needs www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk) who have been involved in Henry's care and support.
September 28th 2014, will be a very proud day.
Thank you for your generosity.
Lizzie, Adrian and Martin xxxx
