The Compassionate Friends offers support and friendship to parents and families after the death of a son or daughter, at any age and from any cause. It also offers support, advice and information to other relatives, friends and professional carers who are helping the family.

Story

I'm raising awareness for families that go through the unthinkable in losing a child or a brother or sister and have to deal with the aftermath.

The Compassionate Friends are the UK’s only national charity providing peer support from bereaved parents to other parents bereaved by the death from any cause of a beloved son or daughter of any age.  They have special support for parents bereaved by suicide.

My hope for this walk is primarily to raise awareness for this wonderful charity and to also raise money for them to continue to do their important work.

The plan is to leave from Edinburgh Waverley Station and walk via the John Muir Way to North Berwick Railway Station.
