We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

After being in Newcastle for 3 years I thought it was about time to take part in the Great North Run! So, along with two of my friends (and now training partners) Lily and Maeve, I have decided to go for it!

As well as running for my own personal achievement I am also hoping to raise some money for the Alzheimer's Society.

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Dementia is a term used to describe various different brain disorders that have in common a loss of brain function that is usually progressive and eventually severe. There are 750,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2021.

I would be really grateful for any donations, big or small, and all support will help motivate me round the 13.1 mile course.

Thanks for taking the time to read my page, wish me luck!!

Adele xx

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
