The Percy Hedley Foundation supports disabled people and their families throughout the North East by providing a range of services from a nursery through to schools, colleges, residential services and day services.

It also has a Sports Academy which facilitates the provision of sport for people with disabilities by providing quality coaching sessions as well as training other agencies in the North East and working with partners to develop sports clubs and activities in their own regions. The money raised from this painful experience will be used entirely for the Sports Academy to support its work.

The challenge .....

Two of the hairiest men alive (probably the missing links to be honest) Adam 'Silverback Gorilla' Parry and Ryan 'Man Mountain Gorilla' Ward will be having their backs and chests waxed to raise money. You think well that's not too bad? You obviously haven't seen the amount of hair on these two people. It is not humanly possible to be that hairy and not contained in a zoo. The Zoology society has actually used them previously as gorillas in many displays up and down the country!

If you would like to see the two being put through massive amounts of pain then please dig deep and donate generously! Ryan especially has said he will cry during the experience!

This public waxing will happen on the 19th July, at a venue to be confirmed but people will be able to come along and watch the pain giving. There is also a promise that anyone who personally donates £10 or more will be allowed to wax their own strip and will even be allowed to keep the strip as a memento!

Please please please dig deep and support this adventure, not only to enrich the lives of disabled people but also to enable yourself to inflict pain on these two freaks of nature!
