Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My reasons for wanting to run the London Marathon are simple really, in the past 6 months my friends and families lives have been changed forever by cancer and in particular prostate cancer.

In December three great men I knew died in a short space of time of cancer. These great men were all roughly around my Dad's age and this shocked him in to as he called it 'going to get an MOT' at the doctors.

After many tests, scans and consultations, my father was then also diagnosed with early prostate cancer. My dad has been lucky, his life has been saved by the loss of others. He has started his treatment and it is all looking positive.

As you can imagine, this has had a profound inpact on my family and friends and especially my dad!

This has prompted me to do something positive with my time and to make a contribution in some way to prostate cancer charities. Therefore, I have taken the opportunity to run the London Marathon. I am a keen rugby player, but have never ran a marathon before, so this is a challenge I am relsihing.

Any donations, no matter the value, would be very much appreciated! The more money raised the better!
