50 miles with my dogs for WAGS Retired Police Dogs · 17 February 2021

We raise funds to pay the Vets fees of RPDs to ensure they live happy healthy lives

Story

From 17th - 21st February 2021, I will be walking a total of 50 miles with my dogs Lily and Willow for WAGS Retired Police Dogs.

I will be walking 5 laps a day of my 2 mile dog walking loop, which will total 10 miles a day (I am keeping this walk within my home village to adhere to all lockdown exercise rules).

I have recently become a trustee for this fantastic charity and I want to personally contribute to raising funds to help pay for vet bills and ongoing care costs that these special dogs can incur during their retirement.

As well as this, my daughter Evie is keen to do her part! Evie is 3 (nearly 4!) and will be joining me for one lap each day. This will total 10 miles at the end of the 5 days.

Please help me support WAGS by donating what you can.

About the charity

WAGS (Wiltshire, Avon, Gloucestershire, Somerset) Retired Police Dog Charity purpose is animal welfare. We want to ensure no retired police dog is ever euthanised due to lack of financial means by their new owners. WAGs was set up to help these beneficiaries (the handlers and members of the pubic who take on looking after the retired police dogs) with the cost of life saving veterinary treatment to ensure the retired police dogs can be given the veterinary treatment they require to allow them to lead a happy healthy retirement after they have served the public for years as police dogs. Your donations are extremely important to us and we are very grateful for your generosity.
