On the 28th March 2019, my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It took us by complete surprise and rocked our world (and not in a good way).
We were handed a Breast Cancer Care Folder when we were told the news and the folder had lots of information, which answered our questions and helped us understand a bit more about Breast Cancer. This information from Breast Cancer Care has proved to be really valuable and supported the treatment throughout.
Fortunately we found the cancer early and surgery and treatment was swift from the NHS. We are now going through the radiotherapy appointments at present.
Breast Cancer has made me look at my own health and I am now on a mission to lose 3 - 4 stone in weight and live a healthier life. I am now in training, I have entered the Great North Run to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. I have a long road of training ahead but I will be documenting my journey back to fitness.
If you are able to sponsor me, I will be hugely grateful for supporting this great cause, which in turn will go on to support others diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
