Story
Hi All Myself and seven friends are undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge in May next year! The challenge consists of climbing three mountains across three countries in 24 hours! We will be driving around 6 hours and walking 25 miles and climbing approximately 4000 feet. We will begin the challenge at 5am at the base of Ben Nevis (Scotland), following the successful accent and decent of Nevis we will start the 4 hour drive to Scafel Pike (lake District) and instantly begin the climb up England’s tallest peak. Following successful completion of Pike we will then drive the evening drive to Snowdonia and begin the final accent. Snowdon (Wales) is likely to be the most difficult of the three climbs as we will be starting the accent at around 1am, in the dark. All eight of us are undertaking the challenge for different charities that relate to us as individuals. I will be climbing for Leonard Cheshire Disability. Introducing Leonard Cheshire Disability Leonard Cheshire Disability exists to change attitudes to disability and to serve disabled people around the world. Our principal activity in the UK is the provision of services in support of disabled people in the widest context. These services include care homes, supported living, domiciliary support, day services, resource centres, rehabilitation, respite care, personal support and training and assistance for those looking for work. We operate in all parts of the UK and are the largest voluntary sector provider of care and support services for disabled people. I aim to raise £1000 for LCD and plan to donate it to one particular service in Godalming in Surrey to help this amazing charity to continue the great work they do! Please help me reach my goal, all your donations are most appreciated! Many thanks Adam
