Those who know me know by now that each year I participate in a number of physical challenges to support charities that mean something to me. I focused a lot of my attention towards Cancer charities after I lost my father to the disease suddenly in 2015. My mother also suffered from cancer and thankfully beat the disease in to remission. Every year my mother hosts Macmillan coffee mornings and even at the age of 64 she competes in the race for life, running it in memory of my father. My mother raises money for Cancer Research and Macmillan, two very important charities to her.
This year I want to help the people who helped to support my mother in her moment of need. The charity that she raises money for every year to the best of her ability. A charity that has managed to help so many people overcome such a terrible disease and support those not so fortunate. I have watched many family and friends battle with cancer and with your help I aim to raise as much money for Macmillan as possible. They are an amazing charity who provide physical, financial and emotional support to help those suffering to live life as fully as they can.
I have had such amazing support from family, friends and strangers every year with my challenges. I look forward to your help and encouragement again as I take on a number of events in 2020. As I target at least the 1000 marker again for funds raised for Macmillan. My confirmed events so far are:
Virtual Vitality 10K
Virtual Prudential Ride London
Climb Scafel Pike
Berlin Marathon
Berlin Marathon was postponed for the past due to Covid and complications in relation to covid. However 2022 is now the year I have the all clear to travel and run in Berlin!
Thank you in advance from my and Macmillan Cancer Support
