Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Rat Race Trilogy are a number of challenges I have chosen to take part in that are organised by Rat Race Adventure Sports, culminating in an ultra marathon in June 2017.
The first event is Man vs Mountain (Sept 2016); a 22 mile race weaving your way from Caernarfon Castle to the summit of Snowdon before heading down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry to complete a number of punishing obstacles.

The second event is the Dirty Weekend in Burghley (May 2017); a 20 mile assault course filled with over 200 obstacles.

The third and final event is The Wall (June 2017); a 69 mile ultra marathon starting at Carlisle Castle, heading through the historic Hadrian's Wall country and finishing at HMS Calliope in Gateshead.

During my time working at The University of Manchester, I have provided support to both the Psychology and Mental Health divisions. I have therefore chosen to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind.
Mind are a mental health charity who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
We all know someone who has experienced a mental health problem at some stage of their life, be it depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or stress to name but a few. I am blessed to be healthy enough to attempt this challenge, so hopefully I can put it to good use by raising awareness and money to help Mind continue the excellent work they are doing towards better mental health.
I am planning on retiring from long distance running after this (especially seeing as my 30th birthday is just round the corner), so PLEASE donate generously if you can.
No person should have to suffer alone.
Thank you
