Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Marathon in memory of my dear Mother, Patricia Cox, who sadly lost her battle to cancer on the 30th March 2007 at St Luke's Hospice in Basildon.
The year 2014 marks the year of my marriage and year seven of mum's passing. I wanted to take the opportunity to honour her memory and give thanks to St Luke’s for the wonderful care and support they provided to my family.
Anyone lucky enough to have met Mum would know just what a special person she was and what a brave fight she fought throughout, always trying to ease the burden on others, although terrified inside. The way she conducted herself through that period was a true inspiration to me.
But this page is not just for Mum but a wonderful charity which has touched the lives of so many providing care for people who have specialist palliative and end of life needs.
Your support and donation will help St Luke’s to continue to provide this support to people like my Mum and serve the community for years to come and make running all those miles that little bit easier for me.
