Story
This year I've taken on the challenge to run the Great North Run in September 2022. Anyone who knows me well, knows that i'm certainly not a natural runner (major understatement)! So this will truly be a hard feat to complete.
I will be running for Blood Cancer UK in memory of my Nana, Glenys Thomson, who passed away ten years ago this year after a short battle with Leukaemia.
I've decided to raise money for this great charity to help them continue to find better ways to treat blood cancer and hopefully one day find a cure. I'm hugely grateful for any donation as it will no doubt make my weeks of training worthwhile.
Many thanks,
Adam (Bakey)
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
