In the UK, Alzheimers is the only condition in the top 10 causes of death without a treatment to prevent, cure or slow its progression.

 Unfortunately I have witnessed this disease destroy the life of one Grandad and it has now taken hold of my other Grandad.  Its a heartbreakingly cruel disease which as it progresses forces your loved ones to change before your eyes, ruthlessly stripping away their individuality and personal memories. 

I am going to be running the Richmond marathon in March 2021. If due to covid regulations the race has to be cancelled I will still run the marathon distance and document this on strava. I am quite anxious as it will be the furtherst I have ever attempted to run,  but it really is for a fantastic charity.
