A sanctuary dedicated to the care and shelter of farm animals rescued from cruelty, abuse or neglect. Set on 100 acres in Sydney, Australia, the animal residents - from pigs to hens to cows to horses - are free to be themselves, living the life all farm animals deserve, free from harm and suffering.

Story

I completed my run on Sunday 31st May, through the beautiful Avon Gorge in Bristol. It was a lot of fun and was so inspiring to see all the different charities being represented. I was the only runner for WPF and they could do with as much support as possible, so please donate if you can!

Last year I raised £300 for an Orangutan Sanctuary; this year it's all about a wonderful new sanctuary that cares for rescued factory farmed animals to give them a new chance at freedom. They have 100 acres of open pasture for the animals to explore and roll about in and it seems like the most wonderful place.

As a new sanctuary, they have heaps of work to do building barns and raising fences. While I was chatting with the lovely lady who runs the sanctuary, they had 6 days of heavy flooding, which destroyed a lot of the hard work they had already done.

I'm hoping that whatever money I can raise will help rebuild what got damaged, and can help care for these animals that have had a horrible start in life and deserve a bit of joy and love.

I also haven't done any training since my last 10k, so it'll be as hilarious as last year...

****the highest donation will get a batch of homemade vegan chocolate chip cookies, a tote bag of their own design and a Where Pigs Fly tshirt and WPF tote bag!!*****
