Story
In the darkest hours of my life, at the end of my mum’s life, The Rowans allowed us to be a family. I did not feel, as I had during her stays in hospital that I had to be on the ball or fight her corner, because they thought of every possible need that she might have and saw to it without prompt or hesitation. In the absence of all that worry, we had the space to laugh, to talk, to sleep, to grieve and to say goodbye. My mum’s wish was that her two brothers, four sisters, husband and daughter would be with her at the end of her life and because of The Rowans, we were. I will never be able to repay them but this is a small token of my eternal gratitude.
