Story
I remember the day (during my first year at university) that my friend Philip came to me with an idea to help the hundreds of orphan homeless children suffering in Sierra Leone after the horrific civil war that had just come to an end.
He and I sat for hours, considering what he needed to set the charity up and how we would be able to provide care and support to the many children in Sierra Leone who were left to fend for themselves on the hard streets of the country.
It wasn't long after those initial conversations that I found myself on a plane to Freetown. Seeing what the children were faced with and the state of the towns and regions, I realised I couldn't turn my back on this cause - it was then that my fundraising challenges began! So far, I have visited the children in Sierra Leone a number of times, trekked across five mountain peaks, taken on the Sahara Desert and pre COVID; I was training for Everest.
While I consider Everest once again, I am taking on Ride London to get myself back on track and into the frame of mind to keep things moving forward.
I aim to continue to help and support the many children of the St George Foundation and Sierra Leone for as long as I can!
