Many years ago my wife and I were stressed to the max on how we were going to balance our work schedules, kids school, and my two daughters wellbeing after school! Too young to be home alone, too complicated to use other services, not to mention the cost of those services (hundreds of dollars per child per month!). Luckily for us the Mead Boys & Girls Club had recently opened up and offered us an opportunity to send our kids to a safe, fun, and active environment after school for only $20/year. The stress and financial relief was amazing for our families as we didn't have any other reliable resources around to help. 

Fast forward many years and I had the privilege and opportunity to join the BGCSC Board of Directors in 2017! This was an opportunity for me to give back to something that impacted my life so positively. It really puts in perspective this type of need for kids coming from all backgrounds and economic situations. The need right now with so much uncertainty around us is likely unparalleled in recent history!
