Story
We were so lucky to have Aaron in our lives and so proud he was our son. He was a wonderful big brother to Jamie and Henry and he brought us joy every single day. He leaves behind a huge
hole in our family forever.
When we think of Aaron, his wit and dry sense of humour always comes to mind first and is something we will miss the most. Anyone who knew Aaron would know there was one passion above all else, football and his beloved Manchester City. Aaron’s general knowledge of world football and the transfer market was astonishing – he could tell you the precise detail of any major transfer in the last 10 years. His other passions were F1 (covering his bases by supporting both Lewis Hamilton and Mclaren) and gaming, particularly playing with his friends and brothers on games like FIFA, F1, Minecraft and Roblox.
Aaron was kind, humble and generous. He would never have wanted to be remembered for his illness. However, it played a large part in his life over the last 2 years and his determination to live a normal life alongside cancer was inspiring to everyone.
We will miss him dearly every day.
We received a huge amount of support from many charities and hospitals, including Nikki, Christine and Maggie at Great Ormond Street, Amy at Broomfield Hospital, Heidi and all the community nursing team. We have chosen Little Havens Children's Hospice for donations, thanking them for their extraordinary efforts to fulfil his final wish to be at home.
