Story
Ok here goes as we all know Covid and restrictions that have come with it has been tough. Some more than others but it’s affected us all. Anyway, it got bad for me over Xmas and new year and took me to some seriously dark places! I’ve reached out for help and now I’m hoping the worst is behind me. I felt I needed something to aim for to help dig me out of this black hole my mind was taking me. One of the best ways to fight depression is through exercise and many of you will know I’m a keen runner, not the best but I enjoy it so on a run yesterday I thought why don’t I set a tough challenge for charity and this will help clear this heavy fog circling above me. I have ran the Rossendale half marathon a few times and if you know you know how tough it is. Well I’m going to run it twice so effectively a marathon. I’ll put up more info when I have it and got my head around all this fund raising as I’ve never done it. Basically the half marathon. Starts in Rawtenstall to Waterfoot, through Water over Crown Point then back over Burnley Road to Rawtenstall but I will then continue to do the route again
Now I have chosen to raise for Rossendale Hospice as they will have had it tougher than most. No visitors stuck on their own and vulnerable and lonely. Also due to the lack of events happening because of covid fundraising will have been a lot lower than previous years.
Anyway thanks for listening to my waffling and even if you could spare a pound it can make a difference.
