Aaron Chapman is originally from Russellville, in Hamblen County. He attended Morristown East High School and graduated with Honors from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Public Administration. He was a four-year University Honors Scholar and later earned the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he earned the W.K. McClure Fellowship Award for International Studies and the Robert Ritchie Scholarship for Commitment to Public Service. While enrolled at UT Law, Aaron studied abroad, completing courses in International Trade Law and International Corporate Governance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Upon graduation, Aaron worked in a law firm in the Tri-Cities region before founding his own firm in 2010. Aaron is admitted to practice in all Tennessee Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Aaron is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and represents the Third Judicial District in the TBA’s House of Delegates, which debates and decides public policy on behalf of the organization. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of East Tennessee and formerly served as City Attorney for the City of Rutledge, Tennessee. He received LAET's Outstanding Service Award in 2015.
Aaron resides in Morristown with his wife and two daughters.
