Story
This will be a very difficult winter for everyone - especially in Ukraine, where millions have been displaced from their homes by Russia's war, and up to 10 million are suffering a shortage of food and power because of attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Your donations will help to buy generators, heaters and food parcels for institutions and Ukrainian families in liberated towns and villages where energy supplies have been destroyed and where help with heating, food and water is desperately needed so they can survive the winter.
The Campaign of HOPE 2022-23 is jointly organised by the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain and the Association of Ukrainian Women in Great Britain in collaboration with Ukraine Charity.
This year Ukrainians around the world will commemorate the start of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-33 when millions of innocent Ukrainians were deliberately and systematically starved to death in a genocidal famine aimed at destroying the Ukrainian nation.
The anniversary of the Holodomor is particularly poignant this year as Ukraine faces continued attacks by Russia, which are destroying civilian infrastructure and creating a humanitarian disaster. Once again, Russia is weaponising food and warmth just as they did 90 years ago.
The Campaign of HOPE has been established in memory of the victims of the 1932-33 Holodomor. Through kindness and compassion, we want to keep their eternal memory alive in a positive way.
The men, women and children who so tragically lost their lives through starvation in the Holodomor of 1932-33 had no choice, no care, no help and were shown no compassion. In their memory, we hope to show suffering Ukrainians that we continue to care and to help them with food and warmth in their greatest hour of need.
Thank you!
