Story
Thank you for visiting my just giving page.
I started running in 2015 after realising how incredibly helpful it was for both my physical and mental health.
I have set myself a personal goal to complete the ‘six world marathon majors'’ so I’m kickstarting this journey with both the London (2nd October) and Chicago Marathon (9th October) which happen to be one week apart!
I'm also running the Snowdonia marathon on 29th October for good measure!
It’ll be a tough, rewarding journey but my dog, Rosie, is making a great running companion! I've been following a strict marathon training plan with the goal of a sub 4 hour run for London on 2nd October 2022.
You can follow my training on my justgiving page!
The Charity
Promise Dreams is a national charity based in the West Midlands. They provide phenomenal support to terminally and seriously ill children to have their dreams turned into a reality.
Whether they would like to spend some time with their family following a prolonged hospital stay, the chance to meet their favourite celebrity, a specialist trike so that they can join in on family bike rides, or house adaptations to make day-to-day life that little bit easier, Promise Dreams are committed to help.
The charity have matched a child's dream to my fundraising and their story is below:
Saul is 8 years old and has a life limiting progressive condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is an exhausting condition for him and significantly impacts his quality of life.
Saul dreams of the holiday of a lifetime to Disneyland where he can ride rollercoasters and swim with the dolphins.
There is only a small time window in which Saul can go on his holiday dream before his deteriorating condition worsens.
I am trying to raise funds to help make Saul's Disney Dream come true.
