Story
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page.
Almost 6 years ago, we lost Claire, a very close and much loved cousin, after a long battle with Leukaemia. She was only 40, wife and mum of 2 lovely children.
I have had a long held ambition to run a marathon and only in the past few months have I decided to finally do something about it. And at the same time as wanting to fulfil this goal, I decided to make it more than just a personal endeavour by running in Claire’s memory to raise money for Leukaemia Care.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and Leukaemia Care supports them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
Whilst I have been an on-and-off runner for many years, taking on a marathon is a new challenge. I am running the Cardiff Half marathon in October as a stepping stone to taking on London next April. I’ll share updates on my progress and your support, be it a donation or well wishes, is massively appreciated!
Thanks!
Andy
