Story
RABIES causes over 50,000 deaths per year across the globe despite the fact that vaccines and post exposure treatments have been available for decades. 40-50% of those that die are children under the age of 14. Although we DO NOT have rabies in the UK the global situation requires attention. Rabies is a truly neglected tropical disease and we hope that our effots will raise funds that will help to combat this disease where it is present, most significantly across Africa and Asia.
Our trek will take place over the course of Sunday the 14th September 2014. We will be walking from Guildford across the Surrey Hills taking in the glory of the countryside and the might of the hills including Holmbury hill, Leith Hill and the world famous Box Hill. Our course will cover 20 miles of terrain finishing in Dorking.
Please donate generously to this very worthwhile cause and help us TO MAKE RABIES HISTORY
