Story
Please donate as much as you can, small or large is greatly appreciated.
On the 7th May our mother Darien Lott died from a massive brain haemorrhage which left our family devastated. Our mother was a doctor of Immunology and researched Multiple Sclerosis in the 1980's. It was an illness that she remained passionate about and I decided that attempting to cycle the Tour De France's Etape du Tour would be a wonderful way to honour her memory. I am honoured that my brother Stephen, and great friends James Murray and Steve McMillan have joined me on this crazy adventure.
The Etape du Tour route on the 7th July, covers over 80 miles through the Alps from Lake Annecy to the summit of Annecy Semnoz at 1655m with 6 mountain stages ranging from 5% to 8% climbs. Not only is it one of the most famous and hardest amateur road events, but it is a timed event, so has to be completed within a certain time. It will be the toughest challenge I have ever attempted. So far with a month to go I have cycled over 1100 road miles in training and spent hours on the turbo trainer.
Please support this wonderful charity which helps so many people and families, your support will help me and my friends over the mountains to raise money in memory of our wonderful mother.
Thanks for everything, Adrian x
