Story
Come rain, shine or snow... on Saturday 27th March our Cadets and Adult Volunteers will be sleeping outside in the cold helping to raise money for the estimated 6,000 homeless ex-servicemen and women in the UK.
As a Company we've signed up to the RBLI's The Great Tommy Sleep Out! Our Cadets and Adult Volunteers will sleep out in tents or homemade shelters, cook their own meals and try to keep warm all whilst raising money for this fantastic charity.
Please help us support this amazing cause, and make a real difference to peoples lives. Learn more about the charity below:
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a national charity supporting the Armed Forces, people with disabilities and people who are unemployed.
The Great Tommy Sleep Out is a virtual challenge designed to build awareness and think about those that are homeless, especially at this time of year! There are over 6,000 veterans that are homeless and this is an opportunity to challenge yourselves and help us raise funds for veterans, and those with disabilities that RBLI supports. Many of these are living in precarious housing, or sofa surfing, as a result of broken families or personal financial difficulties. RBLIs holistic and practical approach provides help with adapted homes, depression, substance issues, health care, skills and employability, and tackles multiple issues at once. We support the most in need veterans, some of the most vulnerable people in the UK who are living with physical disabilities and mental health conditions. With our help they learn to overcome complex disabilities, homelessness, long-term health issues and addictions.
