Story

First off, I’d just like to say a quick thank you for taking the time to visit our just giving page and read all about our walk, who we’re doing it for and why as it is massively appreciated!

Whether you know anything about me, or our previous walk,
unbelievably, it's already been 4 years since we walked from
The John Smiths over to The Etihad in Manchester back in
May 2018 (27 miles over the pennines). Not only was it an
incredible experience doing the walk itself through the middle
of the night, it was an even greater and humbling experience
having the opportunity to donate such a large amount to such
a great cause (£4,103), which got me thinking... I want to do
more!

Myself, along with lads from The Crown Scissett Sunday
Football League side, will be travelling to the Midlands to walk
just over 90 miles (94 miles / 152 KM) from The Hawthorns
(West Brom) to The John Smiths Stadium (Huddersfield),
nearly 4 times further than our first charity walk all those 4
years ago. Despite this being challenging enough as it is, we've
decided to do this in one continuous walk through the night,
with no stops for sleep, thus meaning we plan to travel down
and set off walking back to West Yorkshire the morning of
Friday 26th August, hopefully arriving back at The John Smiths
in time for a 15:00 kick off for the Huddersfield Vs West Brom
game on Saturday 27th August.

Without a doubt, this will be one of the toughest things we've
ever done, so your support means that little bit more in
spurring us on to that finishing line! Not only the fact your
donations will motivate us to completing this challenge, 100%
of all money donated is going towards such an incredible
cause, one that holds a special place in mine and my families
hearts given their extra special care and efforts that were
given towards the end of life care of my late step-mum Kae
Mahoney, back in March 2018. No matter how little or
large, all donations will go such a long way in helping those in
need, and I can assure you after seeing this first hand, it
couldn't go towards a better cause!

Again, we're immensely grateful for taking time to read our
story and why we're doing this walk, and whether you decide to
donate or not, I'm sure it's going to be such an incredible
experience for such a great charity.

Thank You!
