Story
In a joint project St Matthews CoE primary and Chapel Allerton primary are raising money to plant a small orchard and other trees on the green space on Stainbeck Lane.
By wearing their own clothes to school on the 26th November and paying a pound the children are hoping to raise enough money for a tree or jam hedge plant for each of them to plant.
This will help support the children's vision of planting trees to take action against climate change. The at Matthews's Global Gang suggested that this project will be 'Saving the world, one tree at a time'.
One apple tree costs £25 and one blackberry bush for the jam hedge costs £18. We will also have to purchase the equipment to plant safely so any donations are welcome.
** PLEASE NOTE **
The funds are being collected and held by Chapel Allerton PSA but will be used solely for this project to benefit both schools.
