Story
8K Everyday in May 🚶🏽♀️
When Lennox was around 6 weeks old he was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool...
I remember calling the health visitor, then the GP & then 999. By the time the ambulance got to us Lennox had turned blue & was cold to touch. Luckily someone was watching down on him that day, the Great North Air Ambulance Service was available & landed in one of the nearby fields. I remember carrying him, attached to a monitor, across the boggy field in my wellies. We arrived in Liverpool in less than 20 minutes. The care he received from the paramedics, the GNAA staff & everyone at Alder Hey was phenomenal.
They saved his life.
Lennox had sepsis & meningitis. He was so poorly. We lived in hope. He put up an amazing fight. And lives to tell his story!
For the past 2 years I've committed to walking 5K everyday in May to help raise awareness & funds for The Great North Air Ambulance. I realize I constantly fundraise but the GNAA is a service we all may need one day & relies fully on charitable donations. So, if you'd like to give, we'd be so grateful. 🚁💛
This year I'll be doing 8K EVERYDAY IN MAY which is the equivalent of 5 miles a day. I'll pop our fundraising page in the comments & keep you all posted with our walks/photos daily!
Thanks as always, really appreciate the support 😘
