Josh's 818 mile Team Challenge
Fundraising for Together for Short Lives
Story
Our team has decided to walk/ run/ cycle/ horse ride a total of 818 miles in September to fund-raise for Together for Short Lives.
We'll be using Strava to monitor our distance as a team and will provide updates on this page along the way. Our Team is Amicia Hardy, Amy Hodgson, Emma Whitehouse, Mandy Smith, Michael Anastasiou, Sarah Adams & myself.
The distance we have come up with - 818 miles - comes from the approximate distance of if we were to lay all the mince pies we manufacture for Mr Kipling side by side. This distance has been split proportionately between the team members depending on their key forms of exercise (cyclists have a higher mileage target compared to walkers & runners). My personal target is 75.6 miles for the month.
We aim to complete the distance within the month of September. This is almost the same as travelling from John O'Groats to Lands' End!
