Hi, this is Nick. For the benefit of anybody who doesn't already know, for the past three years I have become more commonly know as 'Adam's Dad'.
On July 28th/29th myself, Malcolm, Alex, Nigel, Claire & Alan will be participating in the Thunder Run 24, a 24-hour team relay along tracks, up hills, through fields and forrest at Catton Park in the Staffordshire countryside.
We are raising money to help Adam and Robyn, both fighting neuroblastoma for the past three years, to continue to be able to access treatments abroad ... and help the NB Alliance UK to continue their really important work.

Thunder Run 24 was supposed to be the final event in a series of races building up in distances to marathons for myself, Malc and Giselle. Unfortunately the intensive training schedule got the better of both me & Giselle, and we ended up on the physio table and unable to run for over 3 months. Malc, the veteran of the bunch, completed another London marathon in under 4 hours. For me the disappointment of not being able to run in Edinburgh is matched by an equal determination to get back into training and complete the marathon distance that I set out to when Malc and myself hatched this crazy idea last year. Stay with me ... I'll get there eventually.
