Story
This May the three of us are setting ourselves a new challenge in aid of Aims2cure for Multiple Sclerosis. We are going to be trudging across, above and over 15 miles of steep, rugged landscape. Tackling and ascending 1,300 metres up five of England's most demanding peaks including the highest and scarily named Scafell Pike. We are joining a group of lovely ladies to take on this challenge in aid of this much needed wonderful charity. It has been described to us as 'No walk in the Park' , listed as 'Tough" on the charity challenge's website trekking scale and whats more although starting early and completing the whole trek in one day there is no starbucks in sight.
On a serious note we have decided to do this as we want to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this impressive charity that works so hard to make a difference. We all wanted a new challenge and to give something back. We are self funding and making the commitment, and donation ourselves, however we have also set up this page as an opportunity for anyone else that wanted to give a donation to Aims2cure and giving us a bit of moral support, or a polite kick up the backside to get over those peaks then we will be truly grateful.
sufferers are struck down in the prime of life, usually between the ages of 20 and 40 (although it can strike at any age). Just when individuals are embarking on the next stage of life, a career perhaps, or a family, they are faced with an uncertain and unpredictable future. MS is a cruel condition. Men and women who were once energetic, mobile and independent people lose all this to have a life solely reliant on others and being able to do nothing for themselves. It’s unimaginable. This is why Aims2Cure (registered charity founded in 1999) are so motivated to find a cure and further treatment.
They continue to fund research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and currently they sponsor and assist various projects taking place in some of the UK’s leading neurological institutions.
Thank you all for taking the time to visit our page we really appreciate it. Now onwards and upwards ( literally in our case)
Best wishes
Jo, Tanya & Nicola
