Story
What are we doing?
Each of us will be doing 5 miles a day, everyday in August (some of us will be running, walking, cycling, roly polies…). That might not sound like much to some people, but we’ve all got small kids and the dad bods to match…it’s going to be painful. 155 miles is long way!
Why are we doing it?
In 2013 our friend Marcus was diagnosed with splenic lymphoma (check out his blog at https://spleniclymphoma.com), ironically because he was super fit and ran lots of marathons (full story on the blog). Every year since, he’s raised thousands of pounds for charity. This year, chemo is taking it’s toll and he’s taking a break - so we’re stepping up to fill the void. The challenge had to running, and we’re none of us fit enough to run an actual marathon, and this was the most painful but achievable thing Marcus came up with.
