Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As a team of 25 family, friends and colleagues at Old Hall Cafe & Walks and Southwold Maze we aim to walk, run or cycle a combined total of 5000 miles during the month of June! We are raising money for 2 charities, this one being St. Elizabeth Hospice Suffolk  who provide such an amazing palliative care service and support within our local community. We are doing this in memory of my Mother in Law, Janet, who sady passed away on 27th March 2020, after battling a sudden and rare degenerative illness that took her from us within 4 weeks. We were incredibly grateful for the care given to her both at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital but also at Beccles Hospital where she was able to spend her last days in peace, with dignity and in the town that was her home. It meant so much to the family. This palliative care unit is supported by St Elizabeth Hospice and is a vital facility for the local community. Sadly Covid 19 has stopped many fundraisers but the care given by St Elizabeth Hospice is needed now more than ever before. Thank you for your support, we have an ambitious target of 5000 miles so I hope we can do it! Janet was a very positive person and I know she would have believed in us!
