Story
We are raising money for Care for Veterans because they are providing
incredible support to people who have served us all.
Care for Veterans delivers long term nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and award-winning end of life care, to disabled ex-Servicemen, women and their families.
They receive no Government funding and need to raise £1.9 million each year to continue their important work.
Care for Veterans provides a vital service to people who have given so much to protect this country. We believe we should give something back to them.
How can you get involved?
We want to raise awareness of Care for Veterans and the vital support it provides. In turn we hope people will be generous enough to donate money to support this charity.
Over the next few weeks, in the build up to Remembrance Sunday, we will be featuring 11 people who receive support from Care for Veterans. We want to highlight the amazing support Care for Veterans provides it residents and their families.
We want you to get involved to help spread the word. We will be sharing our veterans’ stories through all of our social media channels. But we don’t think this is enough! We want as many people to know about Care for Veterans as possible. Please, follow our social media and share with the hashtag #11for11th as much as possible to increase awareness.
Of course, the whole point of this is to raise money for Care for Veterans, which is why we’re starting things off by donating £250. So during this time of remembrance, when the country thinking about our armed forces, why not donate to this amazing cause? This is how your money can impact someone’s life:
- £15 could help to develop motor skills by providing arts and crafts materials
- £30 could pay for a session of physiotherapy
- £45 could provide a cookery session of local day-trip
Please donate what you can.
