Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Clare Whittle is registered blind and in October 2009 became the owner of Tammy her first guide dog, a black Labrador. The difference to her life since then has been incredible as she is now more independent and safer when she goes out.
As a family we are so grateful to Guide Dogs for the Blind so in September we are taking on an event organised by Guide Dogs called The Coniston Challenge. This involves walking 10km up the old man of Coniston, cycling off road in Grizedale forest for 17km and then kayaking 3km across Coniston water. This is done as a team of 6 people consisting of Clare's Dad, two of Clare’s brothers and one of their girlfriends, her uncle and her cousin. We are all busy training but most importantly trying to raise £2,500.00 for Guide Dogs.
We would therefore be very grateful to anyone who would donate to us and help us to make it possible for guide dogs to continue to make as many people as independent as possible.
