Welcome to my fundraising page for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity). I will be running the British 10K London Run on 10th July 2011 to raise money for SANDS in memory of my son Toby who was born on 3rd January 2006(his mummies birthday) and passed away 83 hours later.

The moment Toby arrived our lives changed forever. Our happiness soon changed to confusion, anger and sadness. We were making decisions we never thought we would have to. Trying to stay strong for Toby, for our daughter Amelia, for each other, we spent an amazing 83 hours with our family. We would give anything to have those 83 hours again.

The congratulation cards changed to sympathy cards, sitting in the lounge with the funeral director discussing music, going to see Toby in the chapel of rest, trying to remain 'normal' for our daughter, the numbness, trying to eat, people saying the right things, people saying the wrong things, the funeral............

Nearly 5 years on it still only feels like yesterday. We loved the time we got to spend with Toby and he is very much part of our family. He now has a brother Oliver and Amelia talks about Toby every day as do we. We love Toby very much and are so proud of all our children.

SANDS helps families during these traumatic times. Sometimes you don't even know you need help but its important that every family is offered their services, whether it be a special room in hospitals or ongoing support.

Please donate and help to ensure that families get this much needed support.
