Story
On October 8th 2023, we will be running The London "Royal Parks" Half-Marathon in memory of our dearest friend, Shelly, who sadly passed away May 24th.
Recently, Shelly helped raise over £14k for Frimley Health, a charity very close to her heart by running marathons - Last year in NYC, when I last saw her 😢 and London this year where she got her PB of 3:31 - amazing!! - and many more 🏃🏻♀️. Funds are needed for important equipment and much needed chemo training for the nurses. It costs £600 to train one nurse to perform chemotherapy on a patient. Shelly's sister, Natalie, continues treatment there for leukemia, and is doing well, with much thanks to the amazing doctors and nurses on Eden Ward.
For Shelly, Nats and Frimley. Let’s continue Shelly's amazing work and support - and smash that amount.
Charity places to register for the half marathon are still available (which is how I got in) if any one else would also like to run and help raise funds. The more, the merrier!
