Story
Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Four men and a dog on an epic 3,000 mile trip from London to Helsinki. Not just your average spring break but an ambitious road trip to retrace the family tree of a 13-year-old Finnish Lapphund named Osa.
After having already rekindled ties with his only surviving sister from his 2001 litter, Osa will head to rub shoulders with the cream of the crop at Crufts in Birmingham on Friday, March 6, before joining his owner Mark Jeffreys and a film crew for a journey through several countries to visit the breeders who helped create UK history. In 2000, his grandmother Echo was mated with champion Finnish Lapphund Nori - the first time a UK-based bitch from any breed had been flown abroad to mate under the new pet passport scheme - and produced his father Tuukka. It's exciting times for a much loved dog in his twilight years, the ultimate goal being the Finnish Lapphund spring festival in Turku at the end of March.
